The next rock concert you see might be performed by robots.
A team of flying robots become maestros in a new YouTube video featuring six-rotor drones performing epic renditions of popular songs on keyboards, drums, bells and slide guitar, without missing a beat or a note.
The “Flying Robot Rockstars” tackle notable tunes like ”Also Sprach Zarathustra” (famously used in Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey”) and “Carol of the Bells.” They were created by KMel Robotics, are positionally programmed to the millimeter and controlled by a remote computer acting as their digital conductor.
“These guys are about to make the internet explode,” one YouTube user commented.
The flying robo band is scheduled to perform live at the USA Science and Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C. the weekend of April 26-27.
