Seth Meyers’ post-“Saturday Night Live” career is going rather nicely.
Just a few months after leaving the sketch comedy series to take over NBC’s “Late Night,” the network has announced that Meyers has been tapped to host the 2014 Emmy Awards.
Yay! Meyers has always been my 10th- or 11th-favorite Weekend Update host. Remember all those hilarious jokes he told?
Remember any of them?
Meyers was on SNL for over a decade, and this is the only sketch I can remember him in. And that’s only because Christopher Walken is completely out of his mind.
So as long as Walken goes onstage at some point in the proceedings and bludgeons somebody, it should be a pretty funny show.
