Miami Heat star LeBron James considers one-dollar bills “too small to bother with,” his trainer revealed in a New Yorker magazine profile.
James’ trainer, Idan Ravin, has gotten in the habit of leaving a quarter in the change slot at drink vending machines, a habit he picked up from the Heat player.
“Ravin bought a Gatorade from a vending machine and left a quarter in the change slot — a practice that, he says, he got from LeBron James, who deems one-dollar bills too small to bother with,” author Reeves Wiedeman writes.
“Those guys are just on a different planet,” Ravin added.
That’s for certain. Leaving pennies at the check-out line of the grocery store is one thing, but not using one-dollar bills because you’re so rich is a level of separation from yourself and the plebeians that is hard to comprehend.
