While most drones top out around 165 feet, designer Team BlackSheep proved they can go much higher — all the way to the top of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa at a record 2,717 feet — the tallest building in the world.
The team deployed its powerful long-range “Discovery” drone over the UAE’s shimmering desert city of Dubai on the Persian Gulf, where it flew over scenic locals like the Palm Islands and the very tip of the Burj Khalifa’s nearly 830-meter spire, and captured it all on an incredible flyover video. The drone reportedly maxes out at three kilometers, or 9,842 feet.
