A new boy band is poised to win the hearts of D.C. and the nation.

Four 12-year-old sons of Obama’s top advisers, including Jay Carney, formed The Flack Street Boys Twenty20 in 2011 and released their first single, “Heart Thief,” with an accompanying music video last week.

Jay Carney’s son Hugo is on vocals, U.S. Trade Rep. Mike Froman’s son Ben is on guitar, Housing and Urban Development Department Secretary Shaun Donovan’s son Lucas is on bass, and Obama’s campaign adviser Patti Solis Doyle’s son Joey is on drums.

“Heart Thief” is catchy, endearing, and way better than anything One Direction or Justin Bieber ever wrote.

The video shows cool footage of the boys roaming around D.C. eating candy, drinking slurpees, and skateboarding interspersed with shots of them performing at D.C.’s Rock & Roll Hotel. It’s pretty inspired and vaguely rebellious.

Boyz II Bureaucrats Twenty20 is currently working on an EP.
