It’s time for our leaders to stand up and decry protectionism. Our very liberty as Americans should allow us to come together and improve consumer choice without the government standing in the way. Businesses should be able to compete fairly, whether in brick-and-mortar settings or online.
For the U.S. to remain a leader in innovation, political leaders must stop pandering to old businesses and start standing up for the liberty that innovation allows. The new economy and its citizens want a strong nation unfettered by old laws and outmoded business models.
