In one of the most important games of his career, LeBron James fell victim to … cramps? James and his Miami Heat teammates were playing the San Antonio Spurs in the first game of the NBA Finals when the air conditioning at the AT&T Center broke.
Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald reported that the conditions courtside were unimaginably hot.

The extreme heat caused James to tap out with extreme cramps after playing only 33 minutes of the game, Bleacher Report writes. The Heat lost to the Spurs 110-95.
James sitting out with cramps became the perfect opportunity for the Gatorade Twitter account to have some fun. Since James is sponsored by Powerade, Gatorade made it a point to say how their athletes would never sit out a game.
@LazyBumDrew we were waiting on the sidelines, but he prefers to drink something else.

@ryanbkoo The person cramping wasn’t our client. Our athletes can take the heat.
