Want a fitting tribute to the 2014 World Cup? So did someone in Thailand, who decided it would be a good idea to have school children play a game of soccer … against elephants.

SNTV posted the footage of the game, which shows terrified boys running from the huge pachyderms. In a post game interview, one boy said, “I was very afraid that the elephants would run me over. I was just afraid.”

Elephants trample around 500 people annually, according to National Geographic. These elephants tied it 3-3, so the match had to go to a shootout. Humans prevailed 5-2 in the end, but with no small amount of psychological damage done to the boys.
