Unsung Hero Of The Las Vegas Shooting Attempted to Stop Jerad Miller

A legally armed citizen attempted to stop cop killers Jerad and Amanda Miller in a Walmart store, according to a report from the Las-Vegas Review-Journal.

The report says Joseph Wilcox saw the events unfold as he was in line at the cash register. Concealing a pistol, Wilcox told his friend he was going to stop the shooter. In a press release, Asst. Sheriff Kevin McMahill said Wilcox  ”told his friend he was going to confront the suspect.”

The New York Daily News also reports that Wilcox moved to confront Jerad Miller. His heroic attempt was unsuccessful as he did not realize Jerad’s wife, Amanda, was right behind him. Before Wilcox could take action, Amanda shot him in the ribs.

The local police department honored Wilcox for his courage. ”He immediately and heroically moved into a position,” McMahill said.
