Two people in the news business ventured onto Facebook this week. FNC’s Megyn Kelly debuted her Facebook page Thursday while Matt Lauer launched his on Monday.
So who is winning the social media popularity contest?
On the heels of Lauer’s new TODAY Show deal (announced today and reportedly worth 20-25 million a year), he received 74,000 fans/likes on his Facebook page since Monday.
Kelly, a TIME 100 most influential who has only been in primetime for less than a year (and who beat FNC’s Bill O’Reilly last week with the younger demo viewers 25-54), has more than double Lauer’s likes/fans in less than 24 hours of her page going live.
Kelly has 165,000 likes compared to Lauer’s 74,000.
How do you “like” that, Matt?
