With an avalanche of choices, readers are a hard lot these days. They need to be convinced, coaxed, and in some cases, heavily lured into reading your publication.

National Journal gets a redesign this Thursday. And with it, comes food trucks placed strategically on Capitol Hill, more specifically, near Capitol South Metro and Union Station. So with your newly designed magazine you’ll also get free chicken and waffles as well as donuts and coffee.

Oh, and the new magazine.

(They’ll be tweeting out the exact locations of the trucks in the morning. Depends on parking and such.)

On another note… On Monday night at Brasserie Beck in downtown Washington will be a party for the newly designed mag. It’s by invitation only. Note to NYT‘s Mark Leibovich: There will be valet parking.
