It’s election season, which means we get to celebrate an American institution: attack ads.
But not those pansy ads like, “He voted for Obamacare,” or, “He voted for the shutdown.” No, we’ve got much more important elections and attack ads to worry about, namely the MLB All-Star Game.
And boy, the Milwaukee Brewers attack ads are good. Catcher Jonathan Lucroy is tired of the establishment candidate, Yadier Molina of the Cardinals.
“Do you want another St. Louis Cardinal to star in an All-Star Game?” the ad asks over the sound of children crying. “Isn’t there a better way?”
Meanwhile, CF Carlos Gomez is tired of non-center fielders starting in center field.
