When some punk with a wrench tried to invade her home, a 63-year-old woman on oxygen beat him up with a backscratcher until he ran away.

Patty Kearney and her husband were watching TV when they heard a loud crash and her husband went to investigate, Fox 2 News in Detroit reported. Patty stood up and saw her husband backing up with his hands in the air, pleading with the man wearing a hockey mask and carrying a wrench not to hurt them.

The burglar asked about a gun and demanded money, but when Patty realized he didn’t have a gun, she grabbed a backscratcher and started hitting him over the head.

“I said not in my house, not in my house, and I boom, boom, boom,” she told Fox2, “I just hit him in the head, hit him in the head, hit him until he got right there, and I hit him once more and he ran out the door.”

He eventually dropped the wrench, which Patty recovered, and then ran out the back door.

“If he hadn’t have got out that back door, I’d have beat him to death. And I know I would’ve because I was that mad at that person in my house for doing this to me,” she told Fox2. “Somebody invaded my house.

Police are still trying to identify the suspect.
