  • Former toxicologist Kristin Rossum was convicted of poisoning her husband in 2006, after he threatened to expose her newfound meth habit and affair with her boss -- if she didn't quit her job.   • Former middle school teacher Amy Beck walked into a police station in 2010 and confessed she had had sex with a 14-year-old former student for six months. She was sentenced to two years in prison. (Photo: Los Angeles County)

  • Former Tustin High School personal trainer, Hope Jacoby, pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and three counts of oral copulation with a minor. She had sex with a 16-year-old male student in her car and her home several times throughout 2008. She was sentenced to three years of probation and 240 hours of community service.   • Grammy winning rapper Lil Kim was convicted of lying to a federal grand jury to protect friends involved in a 2001 shootout outside a Manhattan radio station.   • Jane Toppan, who confessed in 1901 to killing 31 people, was an American serial killer. She reportedly said her goal was to kill more helpless people than any other man or woman who ever lived.
