There’s nothing quite so jarring as logging onto your Twitter account and seeing that an ex-girlfriend has posted a picture of your penis.
Unfortunately, this is the kind of dumb luck that confronted Rep. Steve Stivers‘ (R-Ohio) chief of staff Adam Kuhn over the weekend. He promptly resigned from his job. Politico‘s Jon Bresnahan broke the story.
On a positive note, this was not another case as a male political type cheating on his wife. This time, he’s single and the woman is married.
Like all Capitol Hill sex scandals, this one has its weirdnesses. Kuhn’s former girlfriend, Jennifer Roubenes Allbaugh (a.k.a. “Ruby”), told Politico that she posted the aide’s penis for the sole purpose of revenge. She was angry because she said he was a “selfish pompous asshole.” Thankfully she later found it in her heart to delete the photograph.
Kuhn, of course, apologized.
“Over the weekend, I was the victim of an attack on Twitter from a woman I had a relationship with in my personal life,” Kuhn said. “I realize and apologize I had used poor judgement in my personal life regarding this relationship. The woman who posted this has reached out to me to apologize.”
Possible moral of the story: When you date an ex-porn star, sh-t happens.
See another picture of “Ruby” below. Her Twitter account no longer exists. But when it did, this was her avatar. Some of the more damning things she tweeted from this account: “God I hope you get fired.” And this: “He destroyed my life and marriage and deserves to rot in hell.” And this: “Nothing but lie after lie. I’ve never hated someone so much.” And this: “All fans please retweet cock pic!” And this: “And to all my fans, retweet that son of a bitch. Till he eats his gun.” And this: “Love is a cruel joke, it’s not real, a facade.” And this: “Sucks when someone plays with your life and heart and ignores you. Feels great, doesn’t it?” And this: “Going online from now on, staying in my bedroom, never letting anyone get close to me again.” And then: “Now we’re even.” And finally: “Got a cease and desist letter, so everyone take the cock pics down, what a coward.”
