Sleeping naked is the secret to a happy marriage, according to a study done in the United Kingdom.

Over a thousand Britons were polled, 57 per cent of those who wear nothing to bed said they were happy in their relationships, according to The Daily Mail. 48 percent polled wear pajamas, 43 percent wear nightgowns and 38 percent wear onesies.

“I have been sleeping in the nude for six years now and it’s so much more  comfortable than wearing  pajamas or boxer shorts,” said poll participant Stephen McKensie. “My wife does it too, and we have never been happier. It helps you relax when you’re in bed.”

But there are other ways of relaxing in bed that affect relationships negatively. Half of those polled are bothered by people eating in bed, 59 percent don’t like dirty laundry on the floor and 23 percent hate when their partner wears socks in bed. So skip the socks and clothes altogether to have a happier marriage.

“There are many factors which can affect the success of a relationship,” said Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe. “But one factor which is often overlooked is the bedroom environment.”

“Bedding can feel extremely soft against the skin, encouraging openness and intimacy between couples and ultimately increasing happiness.”
