Fans Explode When NASCAR Replaces ‘Lord of the Rings’ Marathon On TNT

Saturday night’s NASCAR Coke Zero 400 was rain-delayed and pushed to air on Sunday, causing it to run over a “Lord of the Rings” marathon.

Fans took to Twitter like a hobbit to Longbottom Leaf, crying about the life-crushing disappointment of missing seeing the movie for the nth time and complete with commercials.

Some Twitter users started talking about what the response would be before the marathon was interrupted.

 

Wish granted.

 

And others said that getting mauled by a bear would be preferable to watching NASCAR.

 

And yet other passionate fans declared that “LIKE NO ONE LIKES NASCAR.”

 

NASCAR fans responded.

 

 

 

All in all, the NASCAR race coming between the geeks and their beloved movie was a little like Gollum’s outlook on the Ring for most of the trilogy:
