Washington Post columnist Clinton Yates was at a bar on the Fourth of July. He’s 33-years-old. And yet he was promptly thrown out of the bar. Specifically, Caddies, a sports bar in Bethesda, Md.

The problem?

The waitress didn’t believe his driver’s license was valid because he looks so young.

The bigger problem?

He was with a non-drinking 20-year-old.

The even bigger problem? The waitress didn’t believe him.

Asked about it, Yates told The Mirror, “Exactly what they said. They didn’t want unders in the bar during the game.”

I pointed out that he is not an under — he replied, “I was with one.”
