The warring, competitive factions between Politico and The Washington Post continue.

The latest casualty is Rebecca Sinderbrand, who is going to WaPo to be a political editor. She’s presently a White House deputy editor at Politico. She’s also an incredibly good speller and resembles Olive Oyl.

“So, some personal news: I’m joining the @washingtonpost political team,” she wrote on Twitter this morning.

She added, “I’ll miss the Politicave! But as a New Yorker, I’m constitutionally obligated to buy in to the option of a 2-block commute. It’s the dream.”

Sinderbrand began her journalism career with the AP’s Washington Bureau in 1999. She’s also worked for Newsweek and CNN.

Born in Brooklyn, she graduated from Georgetown.
