A father walked in on a man raping his 11-year-old son Friday and beat him to a pulp.
“I just walked in on a grown man molesting …,” he told a dispatcher, according to The Daytona Beach News Journal. “And I got him in a bloody puddle for you officer.”
The father, 35, had stepped out of his home to get food, he said, and when he came back he walked into the room and saw Raymond Frolander, 18, raping the child. “He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said,” the father said. “I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.”
“You are damn lucky boy that I love my God,” he added.
The child later told investigators Frolander asked him to sit in his lap, and then took him to a back room, The News Journal reports. He then pulled the child’s pants down and started sexually battering him, the boy said, and added Frolander had been abusing him since he was 8 years old.
Police responded to the Daytona Beach home at 1:07 a.m. Friday, and found Frolander motionless on the living room floor. He had knots on his face and was bleeding from his mouth.
“I didn’t proceed to ask him any questions sir,” the father told a dispatcher. “He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you. I drug him out to the living room.”
When questioned by police, Frolander admitted to sexually battering the child, The News Journal reports. “I’m guilty,” he told police.
The father was not charged, police said.
Frolander was charged with sexual battery by an 18-year-old on a victim under 12 and is being held without bail. He was treated for his injuries at Halifax Health Medical Center.
