The season finales of “Real Housewives” are typically ridiculous but rarely surprising, but when Aviva Drescher, Vassar graduate, removed her prosthetic leg Tuesday and tossed it across Le Cirque on the finale of “Real Housewives of New York,” it got real.
To catch up, Aviva was upset during the cocktail party because the other housewives, namely Heather, accused her of lying about having asthma after she ditched a ski trip in Montana. Aviva then pulled out X-Rays out of her purse, naturally, to prove that she does, in fact, have asthma.

Heather stood up and yelled at Aviva, and then off came the leg, stiletto and all.
“The only thing that is artificial or fake about me — IS THIS,” Aviva said.

She slammed it on the table, then tossed it across the restaurant, for good measure.
“Everything else is real! I’m sick of being called fake.”
She told Heather to keep the leg, that she would crawl home.
The reaction was mostly “holy shit,” with the exception of LuAnn, who was crying laughing and dabbing tears from her eyes in the interview.

The disjointed leg, which the universe knew was coming because of Bravo’s previews, caused Twitter to lose its mind.

The housewife lost her leg at age six when she was playing on a conveyor belt on a farm and her leg got caught.
The reunion airs next Tuesday on Bravo.
