Kate Upton, the sultry Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition model whose majestic figure graces the cover of Elle UK’s September issue, said it was “kind of inconvenient to be pretty growing up.”
Upton is a Florida native who told the magazine she grew up on a farm, and explained that her beauty wasn’t of much help.
“Because I was pretty didn’t mean I could convince my sister to do my chores.”
Kate, wearing a black turtleneck and latest Prada coat on the leggy cover, talked about her dizzying rise to fame, and how she “begged for her body her whole life.”
“When I first started modelling, I was a normal catalog model. Then, I became a woman, and I was really excited about becoming a woman. Because I’m from Florida, it’s all about being in bathing suits,” Upton said.
“It’s a different view of beauty there. You are ugly if you don’t have a curvy body. And I didn’t have one, and then I got one, and thought, ‘Yessss!'”
Whatever happened, it’s definitely working. Upton, who has twice been the cover model for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, recently had a role as a husband’s young mistress alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in the April film “The Other Woman.”
The magazine hits stands August 1. We can’t wait to buy it. (RELATED: Kate Upton Is Still Hot)
