Beyonce and Nicki Minaj released a surprise remix of “Flawless” on her website early Sunday, and in it Beyonce finally addresses the notorious elevator fight between her sister Solange and Jay-Z, when Solange punched, kicked and screamed at her brother-in-law after the Met Gala party.
In the remix, Beyonce sings, “We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators / Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”
The “billion dollars” reference hints at estimates of how much the Carter couple is worth.
The rest of the phrase is still extremely ambiguous, but she did kind of address the fight, sorta.
