In what could be considered the bravest possible move in today’s progressive society, a North Carolina restaurant is offering customers a 15 percent discount if they make a point of praying before they eat.

Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston-Salem, N.C., recently began offering a special “grace” discount, ABC 13 reported. The family-owned restaurant is already at the center of a wave of local controversy.

“There’s a lot of craziness going on in regard to the 15% discount,” the restaurant wrote on its Facebook page. “I will not respond to all the posts. I will say that it is not a “policy,” it’s a gift we give at random to customers who take a moment before their meal. This could be prayer or just a moment to breathe & push the busyness of the world away.”

How long until these kinds of gifts become illegal on a federal level? Will the IRS hire an atheist group to monitor the customers’ prayers? This should go viral before the Feds come knocking.

Good for Mary’s Gourmet Diner.
