Islamic State supporters have taken to social media to encourage protesters in Ferguson to embrace radical Islam, the Daily Mail reports.
“We have been fighting the oppressive, racist, US government FOR YOU for decades, yet you still call us terrorists! #Ferguson #ISISHERO,” tweeted @AmreekiWitness late Monday, whose account is “dedicated to raising awareness about the upcoming conquest of the Americas, and the benefits it has upon the American people.”
Monday night’s riots were accompanied by a glut of pro-IS tweets decrying American injustice and calling on the black population to rise up and join them.
“You were never free & you were never equal. you were slaves working for 1% of the population. #FergusonUnderIS #Ferguson” tweeted another IS supporter. “Justice and Equality is under the Shari’ah law. you’ll never get it under Democracy.” (RELATED: Egypt Tells US To Exercise Restraint In Ferguson)
Trying to flood the #Ferguson hashtag many protesters and journalists have been using it to keep up with the protests, these activists, who one Middle East analyst told the Daily Caller “may just be western wannabes but [are] definitely serious,” sought to manipulate the feelings of injustice and oppression felt by many in the African American community into support for IS’s radical, violent jihad.

Nation of Islam leaders called for peaceful protests Monday, encouraging demonstrators to go home by sunset. “We don’t want a repeat of what happened last night,” said Akbar Muhammad, referring to the outbreak of gunfire, Molotov cocktails, and tear gas on Sunday night.
