Politico Magazine and White House correspondent Glenn Thrush has suffered what he describes was a “moderate” heart attack in the past week. In a Facebook post and on Twitter, he thanked people for their well wishes and explained what went down.
“As many of you already heard I suffered a moderate heart attack sometime over the last week or so… The doctors aren’t sure when exactly,” he said in a Facebook post.
“The good news is that during an exploratory angiogram the surgeons discovered my anterior descending artery was 100% blocked — and were able completely open it back up and place a stent. My prognosis is very good, I’m told — and I’m now at home feeling tired but mostly symptom free. I have been deeply moved by all of your kind and supportive emails… And forgive me if I don’t return emails quickly… I’m still a little under the weather… Cheers/Thrush”
The Mirror wishes him a speedy recovery.
