Actress and comedian Joan Rivers joined the flood of digital promotion for Apple’s new release Friday when a new post on her Facebook account said she was planning to pick up an iPhone 6 — a task that could be difficult, given she’s just as many feet under.
“This badass is being replaced by an iPhone 6 (not the fat one),” posts on Rivers’ Instagram and Facebook accounts read Friday, accompanied by a picture of an iPhone 4 box. “I got this one in 2010, and after 4 years, my only complaint is that apps are now designed for bigger screens, and the battery is getting tired. Never had a case for it, since it was most beautiful on its own. Great achievement in design. Great product.”
The posts were obviously scheduled as part of a promotion deal with Apple, and were quickly removed shortly after going live — but not before Facebook and Instagram users were able to snap screenshots.

Rivers died at the age of 81 two weeks ago as a result of complications from throat surgery she underwent the week before.
