CNN wins The Mirror‘s TV Hair of the Day award today with a segment on feminism with Mediaite editor-at-large and CNN contributor Rachel Sklar and Noah Berlatsky. Berlatsky, a contributing writer for The Atlantic, was dubbed with the embarrassing title of  “male feminist.”  Sorry, Sklar. You have lovely hair, too. But your mane wasn’t the spectacular puff of darkness that caught our eye today. Our award goes to CNN and Berlatsky, whose mop, set off against that exquisite lumberjack attire, makes it look like he stuck his finger in a light socket before heading to CNN’s green room.

When we could stop focusing on his hair, we listened to what he said. The topic was feminism and actress Emma Watson‘s assertions about females in a speech at the U.N. Her speech called for male allies like Berlatsky in the fight for feminism.

Berlatsky, even with that wild hairdo, cheered for feminism.

“Well, um, like she said, the thing about mysogeny is it isn’t only against women, it’s directed against femininity. and that can affect men as well as women,” he said. “You know, if men aren’t performing masculinity correctly, if they’re gay, if they don’t like the right kinds of music, if they don’t like sports. There’s a whole range of ways that you can not perform masculinity and be considered feminine and you can be targeted for that.”
