The union representing employees of the Department of Labor (DOL) plan to hold a rally at its Washington headquarters next Wednesday, Oct. 1, to protest instances of alleged discrimination overseen by top Obama administration officials at the department.

The Daily Caller obtained a “12 Alert” document circulating among members of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 12.

The union alleges that DOL manager Eric Raps demanded to see a female worker’s non-redacted gynecological reports in violation of the Rehabilitation Act, that DOL public affairs director Carl Fillichio, with the help of the department’s inspector general, removed a 27-year employee for sending an email that top brass thought should have been cleared “in-house,” and at least two other instances of alleged discrimination involving female employees. Local 12 is calling for the removal of Fillichio and the inspector general among other DOL officials.

The Daily Caller is officially banned from talking to employees at the Department of Labor.
