Joe Giudice, husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, was sentenced to 41 months in prison Thursday after he and his wife plead guilty to 41 counts of bankruptcy fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and failing to pay taxes in March, TMZ reports.

He must pay over $414,000 in restitution and enter an alcohol rehabilitation program. The trial will resume at 2 p.m. when Teresa will be sentenced, but the judge has already said that because the two have four daughters–all between ages five and 13–together, their sentences will be staggered so one parent can care for the children.

When the couple first arrived in court this morning, U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas told the court the couple had “glaring omissions” from their financial disclosures. Those omissions included unaccounted for cars, jewelry, home furnishings and insurance policies.

The prosecutor argued that their concealment was intentional, and they had a “pattern of deception, dishonesty and concealment.”

The sixth Bravo season of the show began airing in July, and shows the two amidst the corruption scandal. Teresa told E! News that “life’s a learning lesson.”

“I feel every day you grow and learn something new.”

She faces between 21 and 27 months, though she has asked that she serve time at home so she can care for the children. (RELATED: Joe and Teresa Vacation Before Upcoming Sentence)
