A man wearing normal street clothes while standing near Ebola patient Amber Vinson is believed to have been a member of the crew on the Gulfstream jet carrying Vinson on a flight overseen by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NBC 5 in Dallas reports.

The clipboard-wielding “Plainclothes Man” spotted on social media was captured in video footage of Vinson boarding the Gulfstream jet Wednesday at the Dallas airport en route to Atlanta, where she is being treated. The man also handled materials including a trash bag before he boarded the plane alongside Vinson and the protected body suit-wearing health agents attending to the patient.

The ambulance company American Response, which brought Vinson to the airport from her previous Texas hospital, told NBC 5 that the plainclothes man was probably a member of the flight crew on the CDC-overseen flight.

The Gulfstream jet, which features a biological containment tent to house patients, is owned and operated by the company Phoenix Air, a CDC partner that works with CDC on special emergency flights.
