NBC’s new ginger-haired host of “Meet the Press” Chuck Todd has been making the rounds as of late, giving interviews to entities that represent all ends of the political spectrum. He talked to the rabidly right-leaning Breitbart News. And today, oddly enough, he lays out the “balancing act” of NBC’s flagship Sunday show for Media Matters, an organ of the Democratic Party that has no balance and spends every breath of its being trying to snuff out Fox News.

This is the second part of the three-part series with Todd. Seriously, they need a three-part series with him? What’s next, a sleepover?

It’s tough to say whether Todd initiated the slams on Fox News, which kills the other networks in ratings, or whether Media Matters brought up its own nemesis.

Media Matters writer Joe Strupp writes, “Todd criticized Fox News’ use of straight news reporters to balance conservative commentators on their roundtable panels, saying that it demonstrates the network has an ‘agenda,’ adding that Meet the Press doesn’t ‘believe in that.’ Todd also criticized Fox News for ‘trying to make everything about media bias.'”

A Fox News insider, with an eye roll, told TheDC, “If anything, it seems like Chuck Todd is obsessed with Fox News.”

Thursday will mark six weeks on air for NBC’s Todd at the helm of “Meet of the Press” and here’s what you will basically see. According to Nielsen, the program is down double-digits since he launched in both categories – down 17 percent in total viewers and down 25 percent in the key demo.

The Mirror asked Todd about his “obsession” with Fox News. He had no reply by Mirror press time. Update: He declined to comment on the matter.
