Wisconsin Election Official: Parking For Liberal Voters Only

Early voting is underway in Wisconsin and progressive activists have their sights set on defeating Gov. Scott Walker.

The group “Wisconsin Jobs Now” is running shuttle vans to retrieve voters and bring them to the polls so they can vote early. A Milwaukee polling station is seeing a steady stream of those vans pulling up, parking, and unloading voters. But they’re parking in a “No Parking Zone” right in front of the door. The zone is blocked off by traffic cones that Jobs Now activists move when the van approached.

This special parking arrangement was originally reported by the MacIver Institute, a free market group in Wisconsin.

Media Trackers went to City Hall to see if this was a special arrangement or if anyone who was running in to vote could move Jobs Now’s cones and park there. City officials said they could.

After reassurances from the city government that Jobs Now had no special claim or permit to the convenient parking spaces, Media Trackers sent a film crew and volunteers to the polls with signs reading, “Honk To Move Cones” and “Voter Parking.”

Soon voters, not just those shuttled by progressive activists, began honking, parking and voting.

This didn’t sit well with an election official.

A female election official came out on the street to inform the sign holding volunteers that they were not allowed to move the cones, those special places were reserved exclusively for Wisconsin Jobs Now, in direct conflict with what city election officials said.
