Longtime Capitol Hill reporter John Bresnahan may have blocked me on Twitter. But that only means that I will make it a point to purposely peruse his feed every so often so see what kind of mischief he’s up to.
Well, on Monday morning he told House Speaker John Boehner‘s (R-Ohio) flack to “shut up.”
Before you get too too excited, it involves sports.
It’s not the most coherent of insults, but what the hell?
JOHN BRESNAHAN: “Eh, shut up shutting up!”
MICHAEL STEEL: “huh?”
JOHN BRESNAHAN: “You know what you did! Retweeting that horrible Red Sox 2044 item. Shame on you [sic]”
Yahoo! News‘ Olivier Knox wondered, “Bres, are you quoting the Bugs Bunny gangsters?”
Bresnahan replied, “Why, yes, of course. Everything worth knowing comes from Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Oscar Madison & Ralph Kramden.”
