NARAL, the pro-abortion group, produced a new radio ad in the Colorado Senate race attacking Republican Cory Gardner as wanting to ban birth control, even though Gardner has been a leading advocate to make the pill available without a prescription.

The one-minute ad features a couple scrambling to find a condom, but unable to do so. Every store is sold out. “How did this happen?” the woman asked. The man responds, “Cory Gardner banned birth control. And now, it’s all on us guys.”

By any measure, the ad is false. Even the liberal Huffington Post, where NARAL president Nancy Keenan is a contributor, has reported on Gardner’s support for access to contraception without having to see a doctor first.

The ad goes on to attack Gardner on climate change “that EVERYONE knows is weirding our weather” and Pell grants, saying “This guy has no idea what’s going on in the real world.”
