There’s no arguing, Matthew McConaughey had a monster year. Matt not only won hist first Oscar for his role as a Texan with AIDS in “Dallas Buyers Club,” but also starred as Rust Cohle in HBO’s hit series “True Detective.”

On Thursday night, McConaughey appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and showcased a talent, few expected him to possess.

I honestly don’t know why this surprised me. He definitely seems like the type of guy who plays pickup football games in the dirt lot at his old middle school. Casually downing brews and flickin’ pigskins through windows is this guy’s bread and butter.

McConaughey is on the record as being a lifelong Redskins fan, but Jerry Jones might want to give him a call anyway. (RELATED: Matthew McConaughey Is A Huge Redskins Fan)

The Cowboys could definitely use a thoroughbred-Texan gunslinger to toss bombs to Dez Bryant. I’d take a tipsy McConaughey over Tony “Broke-Back” Romo any day.

On the other hand, Fallon was less than impressive and has clearly never played a down in his life.

Don’t quit your day night job, Jim.
