Kiss-ass is the most sincere form of flattery, right?

After being presented with Glamour Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” award, Chelsea Clinton appeared with Yahoo Global News anchor Katie Couric earlier this week, where the former CBS Evening News anchor remarked that Clinton should also be honored as “Mom of the Year.”

“It must be so flattering to be added to that list,” a smiling Couric remarked at the outset of the interview. “A woman of the year, and I think it’s safe to say, probably a ‘Mom of the Year…'”

“I hope Charlotte thinks so,” Chelsea responded. “She’s only six weeks old.”

“To have parents who are so accomplished, I’m wondering, was it difficult for you, Chelsea, harder, perhaps to find your own way, to make your own mark, when you have parents that are celebrated or as well known as yours are?” Couric asked, smiling a little bit more.

Clinton, who was paid $600k for a correspondent job with NBC News, also discussed with Couric her new life as a mother to newborn Charlotte.

Couric then praised the new mother’s “considerable influence” helping girls everywhere, telling the former first daughter (all the while smiling wider, if that was even possible) she could lend her “name” and “power to a lot of different causes.”

Clinton has worked most recently on her parents behalf at the Clinton Global Initiative and The Clinton Foundation. Hillary’s daughter sits on the board of directors/advisers at Common Sense Media, Weill Cornell Medical College, IAC/InterActiveCorp and the School of American Ballet.
