Boehner: Obama Keystone Veto Would Be ‘Calling The American People Stupid’ [VIDEO]

In a press conference held before the Senate vote on a bill authorizing the Keystone Pipeline XL, Speaker of the House John Boehner made it clear that if President Barack Obama vetoed a bill a majority of Americans support, it would “be [the equivalent of calling the American people stupid”– a clear reference to the controversial remarks from Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber. Let’s be clear about this: The Keystone-pipeline veto would sent the signal that this president has no interest in listening to the American people. Vetoing an overwhelmingly popular bill would be a clear indication that he doesn’t care about the American people’s priorities. It would be [the] equivalent of calling the American people stupid.
