White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters Wednesday that when House Republicans call President Obama “Emperor Obama,” that’s a criticism the President “wears with a badge of honor.”
“We’ve heard this kind of rhetoric about lawlessness from House Republicans for some time. I know their most recent statement referred to ‘Emperor Obama.’ The matter of the fact, the President is somebody who is willing to examine the law, review the law, and use every element of that law to make progress for the American people. And if that is something Republicans are critical of, that’s maybe a criticism that the President wears with a badge of honor, I think.”
