South Korean pop star Psy’s “Gangnam Style” music video dominated the Internet in 2012 and has inundated YouTube with views ever since, reaching so many users that the singer’s cheesy ’80s-style synths and steps finally broke the video streaming giant.

“We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY,” YouTube wrote on its Google+ page. “‘Gangnam Style’ has been viewed so many times we have to upgrade!”

Psy’s official channel has more than 7.6 million subscribers and the song’s official video has accumulated almost nine million likes, more than one million dislikes and a total of more than two billion views– a number the site was unable to display properly until the upgrade.
