Ohio State University’s injured quarterback J.T. Barrett is the latest high-profile athlete to be accused of domestic violence.

Barrett, upon returning to his apartment, was confronted by Alexandra Barrett-Clark, his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Barrett later told authorities that after Barrett-Clark refused to exit the residence, she attacked him.

Barrett alleges he shoved Barrett-Clark out of the way in self-defense, yet on a 911 call, Barrett-Clark told police that she was thrown down, choked and elbowed in the throat and chest.

A former Heisman hopeful, Barrett led the Buckeyes to a one loss season before breaking his ankle in a game against Michigan.

Fear not Buckeyes. Even if this investigation and the possible fallout extends into next season, you’ve got one hell of a backup plan in Cardale Jones.

Jones absolutely torched rival Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game, and he looks to lead OSU to victory in the first year of the new College Football Playoff.
