A man out on an armed robbery spree left his gun at the scene of his second robbery attempt after being surprised by an armed citizen.
Ben-Belarrio Ulysse, 28, of Lantana, Fla. had already taken $900 in cash from a man in an earlier robbery before he tried to rip off someone else.
But after Ulysse pulled a gun on his second target, the man declined to be a victim and pulled out his own gun. He pointed the firearm at Ulysse and got him to the ground, according to Delray Beach police, the Sun Sentinel reports.
Ulysse ran off but left behind his .38-caliber handgun. The man who stopped Ulysse ran to report the attempt to a security guard.
Ulysse was identified by the man he had robbed earlier. He is being held on $30,000 bond on robbery and aggravated assault charges.
