Hip hop artist Nicki Minaj made a stunning admission in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, saying that her decision to have an abortion as a teenager has “haunted me all my life.”

The 32-year-old rapper shared the story with the magazine ahead of the release of her latest album, “The Pinkprint,” which is being billed as an intimate look at the diva’s life.

Minaj was a student at LaGuardia high school, a prestigious performing arts school, when she became pregnant by an older man, she told Rolling Stone.

“I thought I was going to die,” Minaj said. “I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through.”

Despite her regret now, Minaj maintains that she made the right choice.

“It’d be contradictory if I said I wasn’t pro-choice. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have anything to offer a child,” Minaj said.

Minaj has rapped about her abortion before on a mix tape track titled “Autobiography.”
