Reacting to the Wednesday attack on the offices of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris, Sen. John McCain explained on “State of the Union” Sunday that the attack could not have been orchestrated by a “lone wolf.”

Responding to a point by CNN’s Gloria Borger about the search for the one remaining suspect at large, McCain said the attackers showed “a degree of professionalism” that a lone wolf would not possess in carrying out an attack.

“The nature of that attack showed a degree of professionalism that no lone wolf could have carried out,” McCain said.

“Right now in Syria, they are training people to go back to the country they came from and commit acts of terror.” the GOP Arizona senator said, adding that this was also the view of British intelligence.
