Professional hockey apparently survived the British invasion unscathed.

NHL.com posted a video Thursday of several NHL stars attempting to name all four Beatles. They did not have much success.

The video featured some of the NHL’s biggest names, including P.K. Subban, Patrick Kane and T.J. Oshie. “Scott Gomez, if he sees this interview, he’s going to be all over me,” joked Subban. Oshie, the American shootout hero from the 2014 Winter Olympics, was the most disappointing of the bunch. “I can’t name one of them,” Oshie lamented.

In their defense, the players probably were not expecting a pop culture quiz when they sat down to be interviewed, but even so, it is discouraging to see that the Beatles are no longer household names. Don’t lose all hope, however. Kevin Bieksa of the Vancouver Canucks and Blake Wheeler of the Winnipeg Jets were able to name John, Paul, George, and Ringo without any help.
