Christina McHale did her best “Michael Jordan in the ’97 NBA finals” impression for her first-round match of the Australian Open on Monday.

The 22-year-old New Jersey native was either battling some flu-like symptoms or a wicked case of nerves because at 4-4 in the third set against Stephanie Foretz, McHale spewed all over the court at Melbourne Park.

After her mess had been cleaned up, McHale returned to play and actually went on to win the match 6-4, 1-6, 12-10.

Following the match, McHale laughed with reporters about the incident. “I realized I hadn’t been feeling well, and finally I knew it was coming up… I felt so much better after it happened. I don’t know what caused it.”

While some have criticized ESPN for airing her vomiting, McHale said she doesn’t hold any hard feelings against the sports broadcasting giant. “It’s something unusual that happened. It’s their job to show what’s happening on the court during a match. I’m not offended by it.”
