After an extensive legal battle lasting seven years, Guantanamo prisoner Mohamedou Ould Slahi was finally granted the right to publish his 466-page memoir, which includes the allegation that female soldiers forced him to participate in a threesome.
The book will be read aloud this evening in London by celebrities like Benedict Cumberbatch and Jude Law, among others, and The Guardian has created a website to show animated portions of the book. According to Slahi, the female guards stated that they were going to teach him about “great American sex.” This portion, however, was not featured in The Guardian’s animation.
“As soon as I stood up, the two _______ took off their blouses, and started to talk all kind of dirty stuff you can imagine, which I minded less. What hurt me most was them forcing me to take part in a sexual threesome in the most degrading manner. Both _______ stuck on me, literally one on the front and the other older _______ stuck on my back rubbing ____ whole body on mine,” according to an extract published by Spiegel Online.
“At the same time they were talking dirty to me, and playing with my sexual parts. I refused to stop speaking my prayers and after that, I was forbidden to perform my ritual prayers for about one year to come. I was also forbidden to fast during the sacred month of Ramadan October 2003, and fed by force,” Slahi wrote.
“What do the American people think? I am eager to know,” Slahi stated, according to the ACLU.
While his book has reached past the boundaries of Guantanamo Bay to the United States and beyond as of Monday, 44-year-old Slahi will remain at the naval base, where he has been held for the last 12 years, The Inquisitr reports. Slahi has a history of terror activity. During the 1990s, he moved to Afghanistan and joined al-Qaida in an effort to overthrow the regime of Mohammad Najibullah.
Although he claimed to have revoked all ties to al-Qaida after he returned to Germany, the U.S. has a very different story, alleges that Slahi had some ties to the 1999 bomb plot in Los Angeles. More importantly, the U.S. thinks Slahi was closely involved in planning the 9/11 terror attacks.
Now, Slahi wants to make sure the world knows what really goes on at Guantanamo. Parts of the book, which first began as a diary and then turned into a memoir, feature black redaction bars in an effort to keep classified information out of the wrong hands.
