It was a 35-yard Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kearse connection that sealed the Seahawks’ NFC Championship victory, but it was another touchdown pass that led the way for Seattle’s comeback.

Trailing 16-0 at the start of the second-half, Pete Carroll’s team decided to roll the dice and run a fake field goal on 4th down. Punter Jon Ryan’s pass to Garry Gilliam resulted in a Seahawks touchdown, but this was overshadowed by what Ryan did after the play.

You might’ve noticed Ryan pointing towards the Packers’ sidelines before donning his celebratory belt. Green Bay’s head coach Mike McCarthy cut him prior to the 2008 season, and apparently Ryan still hadn’t gotten over it.

He told USA Today that he’d been relished the opportunity to steal Rodgers’ thunder since his release, and that his point was directed “right at Mike McCarthy.”

You know what they say; hell hath no furry like a punter scorned.
