Ty Lawson was arrested after being pulled over by Denver Police early Friday morning.

Police stopped the Denver Nuggets’ point guard after he was clocked travelling 61 mph in a 35 mph zone, reports Bleacher Report. After telling officers that he had been drinking, Lawson consented to a field sobriety test — which he bombed — but refused to take a field chemical test. Officers cited him with DUI, speeding and careless driving.

In 41 games played for the Nuggets this season, Lawson’s 16.7 points per game leads the team. He is also averaging just under 10 assists and just 3 rebounds per contest.

Neither the NBA or the Nuggets organization has commented on Lawson’s arrest.
