MORE Magazine has a new Washington editor. It’s Betsy Fischer Martin, former executive producer of NBC’s “Meet the Press” and managing editor of NBC News Political Programming. She’s also the wife of NYT reporter Jonathan Martin.
The news was mentioned in Washington’s famed This Town Politico Playbook.
This should be quite a different adventure for Fischer than the usual serious D.C. political humdrum. Some of the current stories on the women’s lifestyle mag’s website include 10 New Beauty Products, an anti-aging meal plan, a profile of Meredith Viera, and flattering haircuts for the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.
On Twitter, MORE suggests, “DON’T be afraid to pick at your skin.”
It’s safe to say Jonathan Martin won’t be clamoring for a mention in MORE as opposed to, say, an appearance on “MTP.”
The magazine launched in 1998 and recently got a new redesign.
